I got to know amateur radio during my university years when studying engineering. I’ve been licensed since 2001. Even though I don’t work in the radio field, the experience and practical understanding I’ve gained through amateur radio have really helped me in my professional carrier.
I operate mostly from portable setups, either from my car or with a QRP rig in my backpack.
